No matter where you go or what you do, Principia College’s study abroad programs offer students the ability to examine, test, and strengthen their connection to the world through character education trips grounded in Love. 

Each international and domestic off-campus study program is designed to help you develop your intercultural competence and become an outward-looking global citizen as your perceptions of yourself and the world are stretched. 

Our program’s goal is to ensure you are learning the skills necessary for success beyond Principia by cultivating teamwork, encouraging critical thought, and building the communication skills needed to function in a diverse workforce and global community. 

You’ll learn how to break down stereotypes, become more open-minded, and develop intercultural communication skills and perspectives as you navigate and engage respectfully with new cultures and people. You’ll also grow through the challenging, yet rewarding demands that come with living, traveling, and working together as a learning community.

Principia study-abroad programs are open to all majors, and you’re encouraged to apply to any abroad program that interests you—even if the abroad isn’t in your major/minor.
